You are already one not only with animals but also even with all inanimate objects. No matter how hard you try, you can’t separate yourself from them. It is because you are confused into thinking that you are separate from them that you are not one with them.
When you can see things as they are, you can verify the fact in person.
Trying to be one with them artificially is akin to seeking to unify the western sky with eastern sky.
